LSL Property Services plc is one of the leading residential property services companies in the UK and provides a broad range of services to its customers who are principally mortgage lenders, as well as buyers and sellers of residential properties. LSL’s main operations are its surveying business, which operates under the e.surv, Chancellors Associates and Barnwoods brands, its estate agency business, which operates under the YOUR MOVE and Reeds Rains brands, and its financial services business.

LSL’s core businesses are derived from the acquisitions which General Accident made between 1985 and 1988 when it acquired estate agency branches through acquisitions of local and regional estate agency chains, some of which included surveying operations. The estate agency operations were rebranded as General Accident Property Services and the surveying operations were rebranded General Accident Valuation Services.

In November 1999 the estate agency business was rebranded as YOUR MOVE and the surveying business was rebranded as e.surv. In 2000 General Accident merged with Commercial Union before the final merger with Norwich Union.

In July 2004, YOUR MOVE and e.surv were bought from Norwich Union by the management team, supported by Barclays Private Equity. Since the management buy out the LSL group has grown and now includes: Home Inspectors, Linear Mortgage Network, Reeds Rains, Homefast, Barnwoods, Chancellors Associates and Linear Financial Services.

e.surv
e.surv Chartered Surveyors is one of the leading firms of Chartered Surveyors in the UK. It offers a range of predominantly residential survey and valuation services to both private sellers and buyers and to the institutional lending market. For private buyers and sellers, a range of services is provided by our offices, from a simple valuation through to a comprehensive Building Survey. For institutional and broker clients a comprehensive range of valuation services is offered. Specialised services such as Panel Management, Central Instruction, monthly accounting and national auditing of valuations are already provided to a broad cross section of lenders and brokers and we are in the process of extending these services.

Chancellors Associates
Chancellors Associates is a manager of a network of self-employed surveyors which receives valuation instructions from Openwork and other sources.

Barnwoods
Barnwoods provides the full range of valuation services to C&G and the LloydsTSB Group, including mortgage valuations and surveys as well as acting as Panel Manager.

The LSL estate agency network is the third largest by number of branches in the UK operating under the brands YOUR MOVE and Reeds Rains.

YOUR MOVE
YOUR MOVE is an estate agency network with around 300 branches across the UK. Although its core business is residential property services, it also offers lettings, mortgage and remortgage services plus protection products.

Reeds Rains
This well established, recognised regional estate agency network has around 140 branches across northern England backed by a support structure of surveyors, mortgage advisors and lettings centres.

LSLi
This business was launched in early 2007 and is the holding company for 4 estate agency businesses based in the Home Counties which together have a network of 19 branches trading as Intercounty; David Frost; Phillip Green and JNP.

Linear
This financial services business provides services to independent estate agents.

YOUR MOVE offers financial services within its branch network.

Reeds Rains
Reeds Rains offers financial services within its branch network.

First Complete
First Complete is a call centre operation arranging general insurance products for customers referred by third parties, including members of the LSL group. First Complete also trades as LSL Corporate Client Department operating as a repossession asset management business and a corporate residential property management businesses for multi property landlords.

LSL Corporate Client Department
The Corporate Client Department provides a broad range of services to the mortgage lender community, as well as developers /builders and organisations or individuals who own residential property portfolios. Services include Asset Management, Assisted Sales Schemes, LPA Receiver Solutions, Lettings Portfolio Management and Part Exchange Solutions.
